Maxxis Minion DHR II Downhill 29 x 2.50WT 60X2 TPI 3C MaxxTerra Folding Tubeless Tyre

  • The DH version of the Maxxis Minion DHR II. With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF; but widened to provide more support; the DHR II corners like no other. Refined and redesigned; ready to shred any line. Redesigned; wider shoulder knobs for better cornering; Paddle-like centre knobs for improved braking; ramped and siped tread to roll fast and track straight under braking

    • Specification
    • Refined and redesigned; ready to shred any line
    • Best for Loose/Hard; Medium; Loose; Wet
    • Cornering Control 1 2 3 4
    • Rolling Efficiency 1 2 3 4
    • Compound: MaxxTerra Compound
    • Breaker: Downhill Casing / Butyl Insert
    • Max PSI: 60
    • Bead Type: Folding
    • Tubeless Tyre
    • TPI: 60x2
    • Weight: 1390g

  • 3C MaxxTerra
  • An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tyres. 3C MaxxTerra is softer and offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed; yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip

  • Butyl Insert
  • An extra piece of butyl rubber that extends from the bead of a downhill tyre up into the sidewall. The butyl insert helps prevent pinch flats; protects the rim from hard hits and adds sidewall stability
  • Tubeless Ready
  • Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures; which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Liquid sealants should only be used in the following types of tyres: Tubeless Road; Tubular; and Tubeless Ready. The use of liquid sealants in any other Maxxis tyre will void the warranty

  • Wide Trail
  • Wide Trail (WT) construction optimises the tyres tread layout and profile on todays modern; wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed around older; narrower rims and can create an overly square tyre profile; leading to less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths; depending on the riders preference Find out more about Maxxis technology here.
